Your Photos Here!

Send me a photo of you and your friend. Take pictures of yourselves having an adventure, going to an event, make crazy faces... whatever. We want to see how much fun you are having! Get your photo into the slide show on this site. Coming soon. Email them to me: youthmentor@gmail.com and I will create an album for us.

Anytime Activities

  • Learn to text message on your cell phone. Friends will love to teach you something and will be happy to exchange messages with you.
  • Build a MySpace or Facebook page. This is a great way to get to know each other while filling out “profiles” on the site. The sites guide you through presenting your own reflections of yourself (or how you would like others to see you). Youth will like having the page, meeting friends, exchanging online messages with you, etc. (There are some inappropriate things that may come up in MySpace. Facebook has much less of this problem and is becoming more popular. If you are concerned about this I suggest talking about it first and maybe setting up a site together where you both have the password.) http://www.facebook.com/
  • Burn a CD. Have your Friend bring some of their music (suggest lyrics that mean something to them or songs related to a topic theme). Combine their songs with some of your favorite songs and burn a cd for each of you to listen to.
  • Start your own book club. Trade books or read a book together and discuss it. You could invite others to join or just share between you and your Friend.
  • Make a “Vision Collage”. Consider what your perfect life would be like. Make a collage poster by clipping pictures and words from a magazine to make a visual reminder of personal goals and ideals.
